-Watts Rabbit 2020 –
Despite Good Beer Week being cancelled, we decided to continue our annual collaboration tradition with our mates at White Rabbit and this year’s vintage is now ready for release.
This third annual collaboration features a Sour Barrel Aged Golden Ale Blend sculpted from three beers of very different ages.
A barrel-aged, Belgian inspired Golden Ale brewed at White Rabbit provided the solid foundation for this blend, to which we then added a punchy three year old sour mixed culture barrel from the Watts River stock to add complexity and brighten the acid profile. Finally, a clean, fresh young beer was brewed and introduced to it’s older companions to fill out the body and malt character. The end result is a round, dry, tart table beer with a complex mix of Bretty fruit and spice aromas/flavours followed up by a snappy, drying oak tannin finish. More than the sum of its parts…
